An outstanding school for children with additional support needs

Greenburn School caters for the additional support of a broad range of pupils who experience learning difficulties of varying degrees and due to a variety of causes. The staffing ratio, individualised learning programmes, access to a range of specialist services and specialised equipment help to ensure that pupils' individual learning needs are matched by a highly professional quality service. Currently all pupils have an Additional Support Plan and, where appropriate, some pupils will have a Co-ordinated Support Plan in line with recent legislation.

 

Information...

Greenburn School moved to its present location in 1989. It now shares a campus with Maxwellton Primary School and, over the years, the schools have worked hard to establish meaningful links so that the pupils of each school benefit from shared learning experiences.

Since October 1999 the schools now share the status of New Community School.
